In
this silver anniversary conference, we reflect on the
visionary efforts of a small cadre of dedicated material
scientists who fostered the need for a meeting such as
Cocoa Beach. From its humble beginnings, this conference
has grown in scope and stature to become the preeminent
international technical meeting on advanced ceramics and
composites. The Cocoa Beach Meeting is synonymous with
leading edge research and development in these challenging
technological areas. This year's meeting will continue
the proud tradition of innovative R&D technical exchange
with three directed symposia, a series of focused topical
sessions, and an experimental workshop/open forum program.
Cocoa
Beach is a completely open forum for idea exchange. Authors
are encouraged to submit presentation abstracts for consideration
on any relevant topic. Anyone with an interest in ceramic-based
materials or composites is invited to participate including:
scientists, engineers, production and sales personnel,
educators, and students.
Authors
are strongly encouraged to contact the appropriate Point
of Contact (POC) prior to submitting their abstract to
help ensure proper placement within the program.
Additional
information to assist you in making attendance arrangements
will be mailed later this summer. Further information
will be available in Ceramic Bulletin.
